About Jenny

Qualifications

Jenny studied for her MOst at The University College of Osteopathy during which she trainied in Victoria University Clinic, Melbourne Australia. She is registered with the 'General Osteopathic Council' as well as 'The Institute of Osteopathy'.

She studied Pilates through her training as a ballerina at 'The Legat School of Russian Ballet' and 'The London Studio Centre'. She was awarded a scholarship to train as a  Pilates Instructor with Body Control Pilates in London in 1984, under the instruction of  Heather Sampson and Alan Herdman. One of the first UK instructors of pilates and the first to offer Pilates reformer classes in Dorset.  Jenny teaches pilates at her her own studio in Weymouth.

Jenny is qualified in Sports massage, Swedish massage and Pregnancy massage and specialises in the treatment of Back Pain. Jenny is the Osteopath within the Physiotherapy team for Weymouth Ironman and specialises in treating a range of athletes.

Her Work

Jenny has worked with Olympic athletes as well as paraolympians, triathlon participants, sailors, pregnant women, dancers, sports professionals and world champions.  She has worked with physiotherapists in hospitals for for over 10 years and treating referrals from hospitals, doctors and chiropractors.  She understands the importance of preventing injury before unnecessary strain is put on the body and she also understands the importance of a good diagnosis and how important a clear explanation of the injury is to the patient.
